About Ms. Greenen
My name is Ms. Greenen and I am going to be your first and second grade teacher! This is my first year at St. Alphonsus and I know it will be filled with many wonderful memories.
I was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs (go Blackhawks!) and I am looking forward to new adventures here in Wisconsin. I grew up living with my parents, older sister, and younger brother. I also had a lot of family in the area. I have been a dancer since the age of three; I was most specifically trained in the areas of ballet and pointe. I also took classes in modern, jazz, and character. I have performed in "The Nutcracker" numerous times with various roles. In addition to dance, I was a horseback rider for several years. I loved to jump! My other hobbies include hiking, biking, and camping.
For college, I attended Northern Illinois University and received a bachelor's degree in elementary education. After college, I began working in a first and second grade special education classroom as well as tutoring students of all ages after school. My favorite subjects to teach are reading and math; I love to use technology in my lessons. In the near future, I am planning on going back to school to earn my master's degree.
One last fun fact about me is that I will be getting married at the end of the school year on June 13th, 2015. My fiance, Jon, and I are excited for our wedding and are anxiously awaiting the day.
I can't wait to spend the rest of the year learning and growing with you!
